Political science policy draft

Good papers will have a clearly defined main claim, a clear, coherent, and well-developed argumentand conclusions derived from the analysis, with coherent reasons, evidence, claims, and warrants, and are well-structured. Submitting your draft for another peer to review will give you additional feedback before submitting your final work.

Papers should be uploaded to Brightspace by the deadline, and only digital submissions will be accepted. Your paper should be:

  • Double-spaced
  • Have one-inch margins
  • Have numbered pages.
  • Use a 12-point font.
  • Your name, date, course name and number, and paper title at the top of the first page (no cover pages).
  • All papers are expected to follow standard academic citation procedures (e.g., MLA, APA, or Chicago Style), which includes in-text citations as well as a works cited on the last page of the paper (works cited does not count towards word limit).
  • You must use at least five sources outside of required course readings (including at least one book) and cite those sources in-text using standard academic formatting procedures.
  • You are expected to allow sufficient time for careful proofreading, editing, and revisions before the final deadline.

*Important: Please be sure to submit a copy of your PB draft to Brightspace before the deadline/submission window closes (to receive completion credit), as well as share copies with your partners for peer review.
