Step 1 Choose a Professional Conflict Issue
Pick a specific professional issue related to conflict in:
- Education
- Leadership
- Ministry
- Workplace
Examples they gave:
- Teacher burnout
- Student discipline
- AI in education
- Parental conflict
- Curriculum disputes
- Classroom autonomy
- Faculty workload
- Student engagement
- Accommodation plans
- Bullying
- Remote learning
Important: You cannot choose just conflict resolution it must be a specific issue.
Step 2 Write Professional Issue Identification
You must write:
- Clearly state the professional issue
- Briefly explain the context (where it happens)
- Identify 3 key conflict issues within the topic
- Example:
If topic = Teacher Burnout
Then 3 key conflict issues might be:
- Workload expectations
- Lack of administrative support
- Work-life balance
Step 3 Choose a Biblical Conflict Story
You must:
- Choose one conflict story from the Bible
Must be:
- From the same book of the Bible
- No more than 2 chapters
- Must involve human conflict
Then include:
- Bible citation
- Short explanation of why it connects to your professional issue
Examples you could use:
- Paul & Barnabas disagreement (Acts 15)
- Moses & Pharaoh (Exodus)
- David & Saul (1 Samuel)
- Jacob & Esau (Genesis)
- Mary & Martha (Luke)
- Nehemiah conflict with leaders
Step 4 Annotated Bibliography (BIG PART)
You must find 7 scholarly journal articles.
Rules:
- Must be published within last 5 years
- Must relate to your professional issue
- These will be used in your final paper later
- For EACH article include:
- Title
- Author(s)
- Journal name
- URL or DOI
- 23 sentence summary explaining how the article helps understand the issue
So you will write 7 short summaries.
