here are the instructions for the assignment:
1. Please include ONLY biases that were not discussed in class. Points will be deducted if you include biases covered in the lecture slides (e.g., recall bias, detection signal bias, etc.).
2. Note that the article should be used to guide your presentation. In addition to this article use at least 5 peer-reviewed sources to support your presentation (i.e., published articles and books)
3. Your presentation slides should be at least 10 pages (with the cover page and the reference pages)
4. Need to use at least one chart and one table in your presentation. More iconographical use is appreciated
5. As noted above, at least 5 peer-review sources used in your presentation should be listed at the bottom of the slides titled References.
6. Once completed please upload your PowerPoint on Canvas under Module 13 (this will be a discussion board assignment)
7. Carefully review at least two of your classmates slides and provide substantial feedback (use at least 300 words to provide feedback on the content, structure, and areas of improvement)
8. The quality of your PowerPoint slides and the content of your discussion will be considered in the grading
9. Please you may provide feedback on more than two students presentation slides.
10. Address ALL the questions below in your presentation slides
Questions need to be addressed in your slides:
1. Select at least four biases from one of the above articles and
a. indicate their type of biases and
b. the study design where they may occur
2. Use external sources to substantiate your argument (a detailed analysis of the nature of
each bias/ methodological issue is expected).
3. Please clearly indicate how biases could be controlled (i.e., whether at the design level or
the data analysis level). The use of external sources is also important to strengthen your
argument.
