Time Management Exercise

Complete a two-page Time Management Exercise Worksheet that walks through the steps of time management planning for this course to understand where your time is currently spent and where more time can be awarded.Academics often talk about self-regulation in learning. This is a fancy way to say that successful learners regulate (control) themselves: their thoughts, their emotions, their motivations, and their actions. This includes skills like time management, emotion regulation, planning, and attention/focus while learning. Time management is key to being successful in college. In the first assessment, you’ll consider how you spend your time, where more time could be awarded, and also where some activities could be allocated less time to adjust for new school activities. This exercise can also be used beyond this course to ensure a successful and balanced college career. Instructions: Use the to fill out your schedule, hour by hour. Include all activities currently part of your life that take any time and be sure to include Capella activities such as studying and completing weekly work due. The table will expand as you type.

Make sure you complete the following:

  • Create a schedule to accommodate schoolwork for your current career goal in the field of psychology.
    • Fill out the table by planning your week. Be sure to include both time for schoolwork and your personal responsibilities as you work towards your career goal.
  • Answer the questions below the table in complete sentences. Discuss the following in your answers:
    • Identify your current career goal.
    • Identify highest and lowest priorities. Include three of your highest priorities and three of your lowest priorities.
      • How do you choose where your time goes when a time management conflict arises?
      • What activities do you think you will need to decrease the time given?
    • Identify activities that will be replaced by schoolwork.
      • As things come up in your life, what activities can be shifted so schoolwork can be completed?
    • Develop a plan to manage schedule changes. Include how you would plan for scheduling conflicts, problems, and technology issues.
      1. If you have time management conflicts between these priorities, how will you decide where your time goes?
      2. When something comes up that you must handle, identify what activities in your plan will be replaced so you can do schoolwork.
      3. When you have computer, internet or electrical power problems, what is your backup plan and will this add time to your schedule?

    • My schedule ” Hello,I would like to provide you with a clear overview of my weekly schedule . From Monday to Friday, I work from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. I then have a second job from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. as an RBT, where I provide therapy to children with autism. This role requires consistent data collection and the implementation of behavior intervention plans, so these hours are fixed and cannot be modified.During my lunch break, as well as in the mornings and evenings, I dedicate my time to studying. After returning home around 8:00 p.m., I continue studying intensively until approximately 12:00 a.m. I am currently enrolled at Capella University.Saturdays are primarily reserved for studying, although I may occasionally go out. On Sundays, I attend church in the morning, and afterward, around 2:00 p.m., I go grocery shopping with my family.Aside from these commitments, the rest of my schedule is flexible and can be adjusted as needed.Please let me know if you need to know anything else, you can put whatever you want about hobby and social media time
