Jessica needs help. She is far from living her best life and kinda knows it. Jessica kinda has a handle on healthy eating and physical activity but is struggling in other areas. She really wants to achieve optimal wellness is all areas of her life. (65 points)

  1. Identify Areas for Improvement: Identify four (4) of the areas where Jessica can have a healthier lifestyle. Some she recognizes and others she does not. (10 pts)
  2. Develop Strategies for Improvement
    • In each area of the 4 areas, suggest at least three (3) strategies she can use to improve herself in her quest for a healthy lifestyle and optimal wellness. (36 pts)
      • Strategies are specific actions Jessica can take to work toward her goals.
      • Number each strategy.
    • Be mindful that you should focus on topics covered in the second half of the semester as much as possible.
  3. Provide Resources
    • For each area, give Jessica at least 2 resources (total 8 resources) to assist her with living a healthier life. (16 pts)
      • Resources should help her address identified weak points or address barriers. Resources are tools or supports Jessica can access, such as apps, books, community organizations, or websites.
        • Name the resource. Do not simply say “a exercise book” “a wellness app” or “a healthy eating website”. Research specific resources and name them in your responses. Failure to do so will result in point deductions.
      • Consider using resources given to you in our learning guides.

Provide an update on your behavior change project. Your response should be 2-3 paragraphs. To receive credit for all parts you must provide a thorough response to each prompted question below. (25 pts)

    • If you have made progress, have you been able to reach any of the new short-term goals that you identified on Test 1?

  • Share what you have learned about your self in attempting behavior change. (3 pts)
  • Look back at Chapter 1 of your text identify three things your text identifies as part of the behavior change process that you identified with in your own experience.
    • Use bullet points to clearly state and explain the the three items. (9 pts)
  • Formatting (10 pts)
    • Be sure to use numbering, bullets and heading/subheadings to organize your response to Jessica’s story
      • Make it as easy as possible to earn points by making it clear you’ve covered .
