Scenario
As a new psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), you are now working with RNs regularly. You notice that the nurses attitudes shift when a patient with borderline personality disorder presents to the clinic. It becomes clear that the staff does not have a full understanding of personality disorders. You decide to develop a presentation about personality disorders to deliver to the staff at your clinic.
Instructions
Create a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation with notes and record a presentation comparing personality disorders within a cluster. In your presentation, you must:
- Choose any cluster (e.g., Cluster A, Cluster B, or Cluster C)
- Describe the personality disorders in the cluster
- Highlight contributing factors and etiology statement regarding the neurobiology
- Discuss clinical features and major diagnostic criteria that distinguish it from other personality disorders, including supporting evidence
