Describe DNA structure and its functions in living organisms will clear points
Ans- DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is the genetic material found in all living organisms. It carries hereditary information from parents to offspring. It has a double helix structure made of two long chains of nucleotides. Each nucleotide is made of sugar, phosphate and nitrogen base. The bases pair specifically .Adenine with Thymine and Guanine with Cytosine.DNA stores genetic information and controls the development and functioning of an organism .It also helps in protein synthesis, which is necessary for growth and repair of body cells.
