PART 1

Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to rethink our preconceptions about creativity, and identify the teachers role as models and facilitators.

Directions: For this assignment, you will use the 3-2-1 Bridge Thinking Routine. This routine helps us to uncover our initial thoughts, ideas, questions, and understanding about a topic and then to connect these to new thinking about the topic after receiving some instruction.

Phase 1: Before Reading –Create Your Initial Artifact

Before you complete the reading or module content:

  1. Create a simple artifact that represents what you currently think creativity is.
    You may choose any of the following:
  • A quick sketch or doodle
  • A small collage using magazine scraps or digital image
  • 2. Take one clear photo of your artifact.

Note: Your initial thinking is not going to be right or wrong, it is just a starting point.

Phase 2: After Reading –Create Your New Artifact

After completing the module reading or lesson:

  1. Create a new artifact that represents how your thinking about creativity has changed.
    You may use the same method as before or choose a different one.
  2. Take one clear photo of your new artifact.

Phase 3: Analysis and Discussion

  • Short explanation describing:
    • What each artifact represents
    • How the second artifact shows your updated thinking
    • What shifted in your understanding of creativity
  • Upload the following to Discussion Board in one file
    • Photo of your first artifact (Before reading)
    • Photo of your second artifact (After reading)
    • Explanation of how your thinking changed

      PART 2
      Find a good/helpful video related to an aspect of chapter 13 (or you can make your own explaining some aspect of the material to the class CHAPTER 13 PPT IS ATTACHED BELOW) and include the link to the video in your post. 1. Title your post with the subject of the video you are writing about. 2. Embed the video in the post, copy and paste the link. 3. Briefly summarize the video and bold term(s) from the chapter. Explain why you think it may be helpful to your fellow classmates while learning this material. The post should be at least 300 words.
