Oral Exam 2 Study Guide (Section 51)
Purpose
Discussion Board 5 allows learners to develop a robust study guide for Oral Exam 2, which is similar to what learners completed for Discussion Board 4. This assessment exposes learners to a breadth of information, and they also have the opportunity to view the pronunciation guides built by other learners in the course before completing a major exam. Also, this tool provides learners with exposure to a larger pool of words from which the instructor will choose the 25 words for oral exam two. So, essentially, learners have been exposed to all of the words for the oral exam on this assessment, and they have interacted with all the words in context.
Instructions:
Please complete the following for each word:
- Identify the prefixes, suffixes, combining vowels, and word roots for each word (if applicable).
- Define each of the four word parts (if applicable).
- Provide a definition for each word, which is found in the Wingerd (2019) Medical Terminology Complete text and/ or dynamic lectures.
- Use each term in a sentence; each learner should use his/her own language.
- You should NOT copy and paste a sentence from any OTHER source or any other learner. However, please feel free to be creative.
- Provide a link to the pronunciation of each term from your glossary tool. **You will notice that different learners have different glossary tools, which is fine.** If for some reason you cannot find the pronunciation using your tool, then you can use an alternate tool of your choice.**
