Discuss what basic social work skills were used to gather the information (open- ended questions, active listening skills, furthering, paraphrasing, reflection of feeling and content). Example; I asked an extended question regarding the husband relationship with his family , nodded and stated I understood with statements that were made .
Discuss how you progressed through the basic stages of interview (beginning, middle, and close)? Give Examples and discuss specific interviewing techniques you used to progress the interview through the stages. Example- I stoped reading the script and just had a flowing conversation.
What is different about conducting a family assessment versus an individual assessment?
