Literature Review: Synthesize a Research Conversation

The instructions are provided in the document attached. Complete two assignments, One is the draft and the other is the Final version Research question : How effective is penetration testing in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in cloud computing environments?

I also provided some sample which are not perfect but helpful

  • Highlight in yellow the thesis statement in the introduction.
  • There should be bolded sub-titled themed sections
  • Outline of what should be included
    • Introduction (cites at least two different sources probably from the synthesis matrix)
      • context regarding what scholars have established and/or agreed on in the research conversation and cited evidence that your audience understands the context of the issue; defines key terms; then identifies what is still under debate
      • establishes the exigence, relevance, and urgency of the issue; sets up the research question that is driving the literature review
      • includes a complex highlighted thesis (towards end of intro): A complex thesis for the lit review should address a gap in the existing research, themes of your research, and the overall answer to your research question
      • describes the type of research covered and how the lit review is organized
    • Should be in APA format with reference page and in-text citations in APA style (must tell me if you are following another style): Times New Roman, Double-Spaced, 12 point font
    • Body Paragraphs:
      • Topic sentence, 2 or more pieces of evidence cited in each from two different sources, analysis of all evidence presented, mostly follow MEAL/PIE body paragraph structure
      • 3-4 main sections that each focus on a theme (a different aspect of your research question that needs to be addressed to answer the question at large). In these sections, you will contextualize, analyze, and synthesize the information and perspectives in your sources relevant to the theme
    • Conclusion: pull all of the thematic sections together, show how they collectively build an answer to the research question, and identify what aspects are unanswered (and/or what new questions have arisen) as a means of pointing to potential directions for future research
    • APA style does require a title page
