Part 1: Written Submission
Create a warm-up or cool-down/stretch routine designed for a small group of clients. Your written post must include:
- Client Group: Describe the group you are instructing (e.g., seniors, athletes, elementary students, beginners).
- Routine Type: State whether you are demonstrating a warm-up or a cool-down/stretch.
- Exercise List (4 total): List the four exercises in the exact order you will perform them.
- Rationale for Exercise Order: In 35 sentences, explain why you selected these exercises, why you arranged them in this order, and how the sequence supports either warming up or cooling down. Refer to concepts from the textbook and course resources (movement order, intensity, duration, flow, etc.).
- Progression & Regression: Choose one exercise from your list and describe a progression (how to make it more challenging and why) and a regression (how to make it easier and why)
Part 2: Video Demonstration
Record a video of yourself instructing and performing the four exercises as if you are instructing your clients and performing the exercise along with them. See the .
Your video should include:
- A brief introduction of yourself
- Clear explanation of each movement as you perform it (what you are doing, how to do it correctly, and why it matters)
- A short explanation of why you organized the exercises in this order and how it supports the warm-up or cool-down.
Upload your video to your YouTube account that is associated with your WVU mix account. Make sure the link is visible and working.
