Task
Part 1
As the course winds down, please open the document you used for the Module 1 Initial Learning Goals Assignment and discuss your progress toward the goals you listed at the beginning of the semester. Using the same document, evaluate each goal you set early in the semester and briefly discuss how you feel you have accomplished the goal. How did you accomplish the goal? If you have a field placement, can you give an example of how you integrated the goal into your practice? Did new learning goals emerge?
Part 2
Drawing on the , in a brief paragraph (no less than 5 sentences) please identify how core social work values and ethical standards influence the ethics of diagnosing.
In your reflection, you may consider all or any of the following:
- How values such as dignity and worth of the person, social justice, cultural humility/competence, and the importance of human relationships shape your approach to diagnostic decision-making.
- How ethical responsibilitiessuch as informed consent, client self-determination, professional boundaries, avoiding harm, and accurately representing clinical informationguide the way you assign, discuss, or use diagnoses.
- How your understanding of ethical diagnostic practice has shifted over the course of the semester.

Tips for set up of part 1 of the paper: Cut and paste each goal you wrote in August and underneath each one in italics, write your end of the semester evaluation of that goal. For example:

- Upon reflection on the course material and the semester as a whole, I feel I have accomplished this goal. I am now more familiar with how to use the text. I do want to concentrate more in the future on the disorders that relate to substance use as that is where I see myself working post MSW graduation.
Grading Criteria
Journal entries will be graded based on the following:
- Skill in reflecting and comprehension of the talk.
- Level of sophistication of the discussion.
- Quality of writing style.
- Application to social work practice.
- Use of self and personal reflection.
