Find two references that reflect responsible development and deployment principles written by corporations or organizations such as these. You may use ONE of the following but not both (e.g., use one of the following and find one new reference OR find two new references):

Drawing from the two readings you selected and your own understanding of the topic, respond to the following prompt in a position paper/editorial between 500 and 700 words (not including title, in-text citations, or end-of-paper references). Longer does not necessarily mean better. This should be about two pages double-spaced with normal font and margins. Be sure to include a title. Do not include an abstract. Even though this is a short paper, you should include:
- An introduction [12 paragraph(s) establishing the issue/controversy’s importance and defining responsible AI]
- A substantive body of the paper (several paragraphs, response(s) to the question below, including specific principles or recommendations)
- A brief conclusion (one paragraph that summarizes your position and reiterates the importance of the issue, plus one sentence, likely at the beginning or end of the concluding paragraph)
- Proper APA citations and referencing (full list of references on a separate page after the main body of the paper)
As AI systems increasingly affect various aspects of our daily lives, how should designers, developers, and policymakers approach the creation of responsible AI? Highlight specific principles or recommendations you think are critical.
