Watch the Thurgood Marshall documentary.

Make 3 connections from the documentary to any of the chapters we have read, the Ted talks we have watched or the podcasts we have listened to this semester. Specifically, you are asked to connect the documentary to other elements of the course in a way that demonstrates critical thinking and applies concepts from the documentary to the other course material.

You can take this in whatever direction you wish. Each connection should included 3-4 sentences. A clear connection to other material from the class should be made.

Ted talks-

Part 2) After watching the Ted Talk on A Mother and Son’s Journey through Dementia, choose 2 aspects of the talk that most surprised you or most affected you. Write about each of these aspects and why they surprised or affected you. You should have 3 sentences for each learning.

Then, go back and look at Deborah Carr’s chapter on Family and Social Relationships (Chapter 3). Choose one aspect from this chapter that connects with the learnings you took from the Ted Talk.

Part 3) As we come to the end of the class, share 3 of your greatest learnings from the class. You should write 3 sentences about each of these learnings.
