READINGS:

1. Break the Pattern Report (read about ~35 pages total, focus on these sections):

• Focus only on the three workplace cultures listed above
• Use both readings together for the response

Write ONE response (~250 words total)

STRUCTURE (VERY IMPORTANT):

1. What are the implications of the three workplace cultures?

• How do Hercules, Caretakers, and Worker Bees affect people in STEM?
• Think about hierarchy, gender roles, and behavior

1. What workplace cultures do you observe at UCLA?

• Give simple examples (competition, collaboration, pressure, etc.)

1. How would you design a research project about intersectional issues in workplace/learning cultures?

• What would you study?
• How would you study it (methods like interviews, observation, etc.)?

1. What fields, time periods, and locations would your research focus on?

• Where and when?
• Why those choices?
