Scenario

You are a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) in your local county health center. You have been asked to prepare a white paper for the county commissioners to help them better understand mental health in your community, including social and cultural factors that influence the care and treatment of individuals with mental illness.

Instructions

Compose a white paper providing background on social and cultural factors that impact mental health in your home county. Examine solutions or strategies for improving culturally sensitive care and eliminating health disparities in the mental health population. Be sure to include the following items:
